We had a great discussion yesterday on topics ranging from how technology can help vocational rehabilitation practitioners better connect with remote consumers to best practices around social security benefits.
Some of tools shared by practitioners to connect remotely with consumers were:
- Texting using Google Voice to capture and document conversations.
- Zoom for videoconferencing - valuable because it can record conversations for documentation.
- Encrypted server for securely emailing signed documents.
Lucy Miller, Technical Assistance Liaison at Virginia Commonwealth University's Work Incentives Planning & Assistance National Training and Data Center, joined the conversation to share her insight and knowledge and answer attendees questions.
